STEP UP SOUTHEASTERN U.S.

Step Up Atlanta

Step Up’s Southeast Region Team at work!

Through a generous grant from The John and Polly Sparks Foundation and in partnership with Pathways to Housing, Step Up now has a team in Atlanta, Georgia who are providing supportive services using a Housing First model to individuals experiencing mental health conditions and homelessness in communities there.

The Step Up Pathways program is currently managing five projects in the counties of metro Atlanta. Since accepting its  first referral in March 2019, the Step Up team has moved 134 individuals out of homelessness into 58 housing units and have served a total of 216 persons. The program is currently staffed by the Director of Programs, two Program Coordinators, three Housing Specialists, three Case Managers and one Certified Peer Specialist.

Step Up Florida

Warley Park in Sanford, Florida- the first Permanent Supportive Housing site in Central Florida!

Warley Park is an 81-unit affordable housing community in Sanford, Florida co-developed by Step Up & Wendover Housing Partners, a tireless advocate for housing for those experiencing homelessness. The Warley Park project in Seminole County is the latest opening for Step Up as it moves forward with its expansion in the Southeastern US, which includes projects in Georgia and Tennessee. Warley Park is the very first Permanent Supportive Housing Project for people experiencing homelessness and for those with disabling conditions in the Central Florida region. There are two three-story buildings, one building for families and one building for individuals. Wendover Partners is providing on-site property management and Step Up provides supportive services, including Life Skills education, employment services and case management. As of June 22, Warley Park is now home to 105 residents who occupy 60 apartments. There are 38 individuals and 17 families, with 39 children living at the property.
