Step Up’s Full Service Partnership (FSP) for Transitional Aged Youth (TAY 18-25 yrs. of age) is an intensive and comprehensive field-based program providing therapy, service coordination, individual rehabilitation, medication support services, linkage to housing, benefits acquisition, school, employment, and volunteer opportunities in the community. FSP targets TAY experiencing mental health issues who have been underserved or inappropriately served by other mental health programs, may have substance abuse history, criminal history and/or have been in the Foster Care system and/or have a history of multiple psychiatric hospitalizations. The majority of these individuals are also experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.
How it works: Read Jason’s inspiring story here.
Step Up’s FSP TAY program provides intervention and treatment for mental health conditions early on (some at the very first psychotic break) so as to reduce incarcerations and hospitalizations, and to support long term self-sufficiency.
In recognition of October 10th, World Mental Health Day, please donate to Step Up’s Welcome Home! campaign and support the recovery-oriented programs and services of Step Up and Daniel’s Places to help adults and young people such as Jason. “See the person, not the illness.”
