“The highlight of Step Up was actually getting me off the street and into independent living at Step Up on Fifth. It’s the only place I’ve ever been able to call home and I’ve been able to heal from the inside out. I have a safe place to live, and I’m not living in fear. Transformation takes time and my mental stability is a gradual process. I’ve been given the chance to live a new life, and the opportunity to share the life I’ve been given.” – Leroy S.

Watch the film, directed by DGA member Jerri Sher, featuring the inspiring life of Leroy S.
