Step Up on Second’s 4th Annual Member Art Show Fundraiser
Art Heals is Step Up on Second’s annual fundraiser. This year Art Heals is being held at the Lowe Gallery, in Santa Monica. It will be an evening of food, wine, live music and original artwork created by people who are living with a diagnosed mental illness.
Everyone at Step Up is very excited about our event, Art Heals. Art Heals is a celebration of the human spirit and a chance to highlight the creativity of those who are using art as a form of expression and positive force in their life. Art Heals allows Step Up to raise the much-needed funds for our free, life-changing services, and also presents a wonderful opportunity for our members to reinvent themselves as artists while simultaneously erasing the stigma surrounding mental illness. This wonderful event engages both our members and the community towards building hope, one step at a time. |

The involvement of our members in Art Heals offers them a chance to find a sense of purpose and identity, which helps to facilitate empowerment, foster change and progress towards reintegration into society. The personal growth and improvement in socialization skills, confidence and self-esteem in our members due to their involvement in the last three Art Heals events is phenomenal and we are looking to continue that prospect. We hope that you will consider participating in the future Art Heals events and we look forward to speaking with you in more detail about it.
